Our charity for this year is: ST NEOTS ACORN CANCER SUPPORT GROUP.
There aim is to provide support and relief to people suffering from cancer as well as their families and carers.

Club Raise £3000 for Acorn Cancer Support Group

The  Club supports a local charity each year raising funds  through Golf days, Charity Runs, Ladies group functions, raffles and auctions which are sponsored by local businesses. Over the past year £3000 has been raised by members for the St Neots Acorn Cancer Support Group.  

When presenting the cheque on Saturday the 14th of April at one of the Club's regular social events, the Club Vice-chairman, Keith Whittingham, thanked the members for their considerable efforts and said that the Club was delighted to be able to support such a worthy local organisation whose prime aim is to provide support and relief not only to people with cancer but also to family members, and people close to them, who provide the necessary care.

The cheque was accepted on behalf of the Acorn Cancer Support Group by Gary Towns, a founder member of Acorn, who thanked the Club and said that he was extremely grateful for the very generous donation, which was the largest the Group had received since it was formed 10 years ago.
